No Labels

What is No Labels?
No Labels is a group of American citizens – Republicans, Democrats, and Independents – from many backgrounds and different parts of the country. We are concerned about the extreme polarization of our politics, and the resulting breakdown of effective governance in Washington, DC. No Labels is a promise that the labels we’ve been given do not define who we are and what we can accomplish. Politics can be carried out more effectively and progress can be made if we come together. The end goal, our shared political destiny, is the same: a successful, prosperous, and safe America. Together, we can bridge old divides and move America not left or right, but forward.

The No Labels Declaration

We are no labels.
We care deeply about our country.
We are frustrated and concerned about the tone of politics today.
We are passionate about addressing America’s challenges.
We are Democrats, Republicans and Independents.
But most importantly we are Americans.
We believe hyper-partisanship is paralyzing our ability to govern.
We believe in the vital center — a place where ideas are judged on their merits, beyond party labels.
We may disagree on specific issues, but we maintain civility and mutual respect.
Together, we can make America’s future better and brighter — and give us what we all deserve — a government and a political system that works — united by common purpose, common decency and common sense.
We need to stop fighting and start fixing. We face serious challenges and consequences of inaction have never been greater.
Working together, we can bridge old divides and move America not left or right, but forward.
A promising future still calls.
But it requires No Labels.
