A new Web series about Latino leaders hopes to inspire
According to a recent Pew Hispanic Center study, when asked to name the person they consider “the most important Latino leader in the country today,” nearly 64 percent of Hispanic respondents said “they did not know.” An additional 10 percent said “no one.”
This month the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) in partnership with Indigo Project Media is aiming to change that statistic by launching Inspira, a web series highlighting inspirational Latino leaders and role models across America.
Saray Deiseil, the creator of Inspira who is of Salvadoran and Mexican descent, says through Inspira’s multi-media platform (using videos, Twitter, and Facebook, etc.), she hopes to reach up to 20,000 to 50,000 subscribers through the Latino leaders featured, from young change-makers to more established opinion-makers who influence the community.
