The LA BizFed and the Los Angeles Daily News co-hosted a mayoral forum on Thursday, February 7th at the Valley Performing Arts Center at California State University, Northridge.
As a mayoral candidate, Emanuel Alberto Pleitez, offers the most diverse experience of anyone on the ballot. From a business perspective, he is the candidate who has the strongest multi-sector and cross-sector experience. He was the chief strategy officer at a technology company, worked with Paul Volcker, Chairman of the President’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board and one of the most recognized economists in the world, developed economic policy to drive job growth at a national level, and has started multiple nonprofit organizations with local and national reach.
During the LA BizFed debate, Emanuel also discussed moving the election cycle to align with presidential elections to increase voter turnout and as a way to engage the most underrepresented and underserved communities in Los Angeles.
Mayoral candidates also discussed pension reform, infrastructure, technology, and their respective visions for the city of Los Angeles.
