Leaders On Fast Track (LOFT) STEM Symposia are coming to 9  cities across America. The workforce development program is free for attendees and provides career-path guidance, educational opportunities and connectivity for students and young professionals in the Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics fields.

The events feature:

-Dynamic, exclusive leadership trainings led by the Army designed to help student-leaders define their role within their schools or organizations, and encourage them to make an impact on their communities
-Insightful panel of STEM professionals showcasing their different careers paths, and the resources and opportunities available for -Latinos to enter the STEM fields
-Chance to network with professionals and other young Latinos interested in STEM
-Connectivity to a greater network of other Latinos in the LOFT network which includes tens of thousands across the country
-Sponsor giveaways/raffle which will include free, round-trip Southwest ticket and gift cards from CVS

The Bridge Project members, Jose Machado, Diego Sanchez, and Gaby Pacheco, met with the celebrity business mogul and infl?uential political leader Donald Trump during a private meeting in his office at Trump Towers in New York. Meeting with Donald Trump was an opportunity to engage one of the most recognizable conservative voices in America and invite his participation in this national conversation.

(August 16, 2013) – The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) today announced the 26th Hispanic Heritage Awards Honorees, who will be celebrated during the prestigious Hispanic Heritage Awards on Sept. 5 at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. The Awards, which celebrate Hispanic cultural pride, contributions, and accomplishments, will be broadcast on MundoFox, Sunday, Sept. 15, at 6:00 p.m. EST/PST. New Video Gaming Innovation Fellowship by ESA and LOFT

Entertainment Software Association and Hispanic Heritage Foundation’s Leaders on Fast Track Launch a National Social Innovation effort to encourage youth of color to make an impact through video game design.

This program will identify 20 Latino(a) and African American youth (between the ages of 16-24) to address social issues through video gaming. At the core of the ESA LOFT Gaming Innovation Fellowship is the belief that using technology for social change in education, community service, civic engagement, mentoring, leadership, and creative expression is essential to the development of the minority communities. This program will also leverage the video gaming industry and HHF with effective platforms to address the White House, Congress and other educational communities and influencers.


-$1,000 innovation grant

-An all-expenses paid trip to Washington DC where each fellow will be recognized and able to present their game/apps to key investors

-Direct project coaching and mentorship from HHF and ESA gaming associates

-Employment opportunities through ESA

-The ability to meet White House Congressional Reps and the US Army Cyber Command

-Be a part of the Congressional Black Caucus and Congressional Hispanic Caucus activities
